These house rules apply to everyone who uses the Nordic Walking Hub portal (nordicwalkinghub.com). They apply from 3 October 2026.
1. Who makes the portal
The portal is made by its people, independently of any company. The details required by law are in the imprint.
2. Browsing and registration
- Registered members can write in the forum, comment, write articles, enter groups and save photos. Registration is free.
- Each person has only one account. When registering you give true details and an email address we can write to.
- People under 15 can register with the consent of a parent or other legal guardian.
- Protect your account with a password you do not use elsewhere.
3. Consent
When registering, by ticking the box you agree to these house rules and to cookies, including anonymous measuring of visits. Measuring helps us finance the portal and learn what interests you. Unlike simply browsing, registration is not possible without this consent.
4. Authors answer for their content
- Every registered member answers for themselves: for their behaviour and for the content they post. The portal does not take responsibility for what members do.
- You, as the author, answer for the articles, posts, comments, photos and other content you put on the portal.
- The portal only provides the space where content is stored. The portal is not responsible for content posted by members and does not vouch that it is correct, complete, verified, suitable or useful.
- Members’ articles describe their own experience and opinion. They are not editorial texts.
- The editors may check content before and after it is published, but are not obliged to. For new members they look at content before it is published; how trust and independence grow is described on the page Wanderer, Companion, Guide.
5. What does not belong on the portal
- content that breaks the law or common decency,
- insults, humiliation, hate, threats and harassment,
- nudity, pornography, violence and any inappropriate content,
- other people’s photos and texts without the author’s permission, and photos of people who do not agree to publication,
- other people’s personal details (addresses, phone numbers, emails) without consent,
- hidden advertising and spam; advertising only when labelled and agreed with the editors,
- off-topic posts that disrupt the discussion,
- posting again content that the editors have already removed.
How we talk to each other in the forum is set out in the forum rules: politely and with respect.
6. Photos
- You declare that you only save photos you took yourself or have the author’s permission for, and that people who can be recognised in them have agreed to publication.
- You declare that you know the photos you save are public and anyone can see them.
- You declare that by saving them you give the portal free permission to show the photos on its pages, to make them smaller and, where needed, to add the watermark NordicWalkingHub.com, for as long as they are on the portal. You remain the author.
7. What the editors may do
When content breaks these rules, the law or common decency, the editors may, depending on how serious it is, hide or delete the content, block posting for a period or close the account. In serious cases they may act at once. Where possible they explain why.
8. Closing an account
- You can close your account at any time; write to us on the Contact page.
- Closing the account does not delete your earlier posts automatically. If you want them deleted, write to us.
- The editors may close or restrict an account, especially when these rules are broken.
9. Availability and data
We do our best to keep the portal running, but we do not guarantee that it is always available. The portal is not a storage service: keep your own copies of your texts and photos.
10. Changes to the rules
We may change these house rules. A change applies once it is published on this page. If you do not agree with a change, you can close your account.
11. Complaints and reports
Send reports of inappropriate content and complaints through the Contact page. The relationship between the portal and its users is governed by Czech law.
