Nordic Walking Hub is an online social and sporting hub dedicated to Nordic Walking, bringing people and groups, shared walks, routes and personal diaries, photographs and stories, discussions, events and articles on technique, health and equipment together in one place. It grew from the need to give Nordic Walking a shared home: somewhere to find what we look for when walking with poles, and where an online connection can become real companionship on the trail. We bring experience, ideas and people together around Nordic Walking, making it easier to find advice, plan an outing, meet fellow walkers and share what we have experienced.

A home for people who enjoy walking with poles
A morning loop near town, an afternoon in the woods and a day in the mountains all belong here. Some people are just starting; others have used poles for years. Everyone has their own pace, favourite terrain and reason for returning outdoors. That variety gives the community life. It is a place for people looking for regular companions, hoping to discover new routes or simply wanting to share a lovely day out.
Trail experience worth sharing
The idea behind the portal grew from fifteen years of walking with poles, outings with friends and the experiences of many other people. They showed how much useful advice comes from talking along the way: where to go, what to bring, how to adjust poles and where to stop. Nordic Walking Hub gives that experience a shared home, so it can reach people who are still looking for their first route or group.
Its focus is Nordic Walking at a hiking or gently sporting pace: walking that brings together movement, scenery and the pleasure of being outside. Its subject is Nordic Walking rather than Nordic running. Articles about technique, choosing poles, equipment and movement help people explore what suits everyday outings. Practical experience is complemented by clearly presented information from relevant research.
Find your walking companions
Groups are where visitors can become walking companions. Find people through location or shared interests, join a discussion and arrange another outing. One person adds a route recommendation, another a question or a photograph from the weekend. A group can have its own forum and show where members went and what they experienced together. The portal helps people stay in touch between meetings.
Every walk has a story
In My walks, you can save a route from a GPX file, give it a title and add photographs and personal impressions. The file can come from a watch, phone or route planner. A map shows the route, while notes remind you what was worth seeing. Your diary starts out private. You choose which experiences to send to a group and whether to include photographs and the route.
A short recommendation can help someone plan their next walk. For a longer story, prepare an article proposal and share the whole outing: what the trail was like, what surprised you and what you would recommend. Public posts can also be shared outside the portal to invite more people. Your own experience is what matters. Even a familiar trail can be a new discovery for someone else, especially when it is introduced by a person who has actually walked it.
Start with what you enjoy
Nordic Walking Hub comes to life through what its members contribute: a question, an answer, a photograph or an invitation to walk together. The photographs here capture the enjoyment of outings and walking with poles that inspired the idea. Look around, find a group and tell people where you like walking. You do not need a big plan. A first step can be as simple as asking, “Who would like to join me?”
